Writing On It All

As program director for New York City-based, public, participatory writing project called Writing On It All, Zina curated and produced several seasons of immersive installations on New York City’s Governors Island. Each season consisted of a series of interactive writing workshops, facilitated by featured visiting artists, wherein participants wrote on the walls of an out-of-use house. Writing On It All developed sessions with artists including Chloë Bass, Sonia Guiñansaca, K.J. Holmes, Mariame Kaba, and Paul Ramírez Jonas, and institutions such as New York’s Historic House Trust, New School University, and the NYU/Bellevue Program for Survivors of Torture. Writing On It All’s 2016 and 2017 seasons in residency on Governors Island were featured on hyperallergic, TimeOut NY, CurbedNY, and NY1.
